Managing configurators
A configurator maps all the possible variants of the product completely. It contains all the Macro-Typicals and Typical-Groups that are configured in the Project BuilderThe project-specific configuration and the automatic generation of the project documentation takes place in the Project Builder on the basis of the configurators and sets of rules defined in the Designer..
Preconditions
- You have called up the DesignerConfigurators and sets of rules are defined on the basis of EPLAN macros in Designer. These form the basis for the configuration and the automatic generation of the project documentation. dialog.
- You have opened the library which contains all the data that you want to use.
- You have selected the Configurators tab in the sidebar.
Creating a configurator
- Click the Create a new configurator button in the sidebar.
- Enter the desired name for the configurator in the Name field in the workspace.
- Confirm your entries.
- The view switches to the editing mode.
- The configurator is stored in the library.
Duplicating a configurator
- Select the configurator that you wish to duplicate in the sidebar.
- The view switches to the editing mode.
- Click the button next to the name of the configurator.
- The duplicate is added under the selected configurator. The name is applied and the following suffix is added: "_<Counter>
_duplicate ".
Deleting a configurator
- Select the configurator that you wish to delete in the sidebar.
- The view switches to the editing mode.
- Click the button next to the name of the configurator.
