Managing Macro-Typicals
A Macro-TypicalA Macro-Typical is an organization structure that contains information about the structure and the usage of the macros that are needed in the project. The following section lists all the actions that you can carry out for Macro-Typicals.
Preconditions
- You have called up the DesignerConfigurators and sets of rules are defined on the basis of EPLAN macros in Designer. These form the basis for the configuration and the automatic generation of the project documentation. dialog.
- You have opened the library which contains all the data that you want to use.
- You have selected the Macro-Typicals tab in the sidebar.
Creating a Macro-Typical
- Click the Create a new Macro-Typical button in the sidebar.
- Enter the desired name for the Macro-Typical in the Name field in the workspace.
- Confirm your entries.
- The view switches to the editing mode.
- The Macro-Typical is stored in the library.
Duplicating a Macro-Typical
- Select the Macro-Typical that you wish to duplicate in the sidebar.
- The view switches to the editing mode.
- Click the button next to the name of the Macro-Typical.
- The duplicate is added under the selected Macro-Typical. The name is applied and the following suffix is added: "_<Counter>
_duplicate ".
Deleting a Macro-Typical
- Select the Macro-Typical that you wish to delete in the sidebar.
- The view switches to the editing mode.
- Click the button next to the name of the Macro-Typical.
Note
- When you delete a Macro-Typical, a check is carried out whether there are references to Typical groups or configurators. Existing references are displayed in a message. Subsequently you decide whether the Macro-Typical is to be deleted nevertheless.
